Porcelain veneers are thin, custom-made pieces of very fine porcelain. These veneers are attached to the front of existing teeth to improve colour, shape, length, etc.
Veneers are most often made for the front teeth from canine to canine, or only for a single front tooth if desired or needed.
Such veneer treatment usually takes four visits to the dentist.
Visit 1.
A free consultation.
Visit 2.
Assessment (photographs, jaw scan for models, X-rays)
Visit 3.
Treatment planning with the patient: We show a wax-up of what your new teeth will look like before we begin the treatment itself. If you approve the shape and colour, we start the treatment.
Visit 4.
Treatment of the teeth by shaping them. We remove as little as possible—usually 0.2–0.5 mm. This treatment is often combined with invisible orthodontics to straighten the teeth and thus reduce the amount of enamel that needs to be removed.
Visit 5.
Delivery of the veneers and cementation.
For treatment of the front teeth, we refer you to our technician for shade matching for a better result.
