Swollen Cheek or Gums

Most often, the swelling is caused by an infection originating from a tooth. The infection can occur due to trauma, cavities, or other causes.

When affected by an infection, the cause needs to be treated, which is due to bacteria in the root canal. This condition is usually treated with root canal treatment but may also result in the tooth needing to be extracted.
